It's Scrappy Time
As many of you know our pug "Gizmo" passed away on the flight to England this summer and we miss him dearly. Scrappy has temporarily filled a void in our daily lives that we so dearly miss. Jeremey and scrappy have become buds as you can see from the photo.
It is strange how these little four legged buggers can bring so much joy and contentment into our lives! After all ~ you can tell them all of your problems, they will lick away your tears and love you no matter what you look like in the morning!
Thanks for sharing your little guy with us Jim & Donna!

Hermana Smith in front of the Mesa Arizona Temple her current home away from home!As you can see our Hermana Smith is beaming with joy as she continues to serve in the Mesa Arizona area. She let's us know that she is surrounded by opportunities to share the gospel with so many people and knows that she has been placed there for this purpose. She recently told us that she knows that Heavenly Father watches out for the missionaries as she has witnessed this several times recently... As a mother I am trying to really NOT read too much into that comment!

Are you ready for some FOOTBALL?!
School is back in session and that means that there will be a couple of CRAZY parents screaming for a "STUD MUFFIN" which is known affectionately as "FISH". Jeremey is #33 playing wing back for offense and safety for defense. Needless to say that this MOM is not used to seeing her baby boy (which has grown up into a handsome young man) being tackled and smooshed on the football field! I thought I would be watching there scrimage game last Saturday though my fingers!!! However, braving the wind and rain Ed and I sat, stood, yelled, cheered, and gasped during the 4 ~ 30 minute games they palyed.
I know you are all wondering - and YES our FISH made a TOUCH DOWN!!!!!
It was quite exciting - it was the first one for the team and for him!!!

Football season doesn't come without it's injuries!!! YIKES a cleat to the calve! Nothing a nice STRETCH won't cure!!!

Soon enough he was able to walk it off - and Mom could breathe again!!! Jeremey played a GREAT game! Wish you all could have been here to experience it!

Mesa Arizona or BUST!!!!

Hermana Smith has made it to Mesa Arizona in one piece! We recieved a nice letter from President & Sister Bennett stating that she was fine and ready to get to "work!"
We got our first email from her on Monday and she let us know that she is currently riding a bike! She also let us know that you really can find everything you need at Wal-Mart. She and her companion found "Jesus". I'm sure this will NOT be the last time she finds him in Mesa!
The above photo is of Pres. & Sister Bennett and there 5 children. Hermana Smith is the one that isn't quite as TAN as all the others! LOL She sure does make an adorable Sister Missionary though!
We are so proud of her and the sacrifice she is making to serve the Lord for the next 15 months.
